Unicorn
Monoceros
Fierce beyond measure, with the body of a horse and a single spiralling horn. No hunter can take it by force; only a maiden sitting alone in the forest can lure it to lay its head in her lap.
Moralisatio
The unicorn is Christ, whose strength no power of Hell could bind. The maiden is the Blessed Virgin, in whose womb the unconquerable Word consented to be held.
True power submits itself to innocence.
