Sealing of the Door
Obstructio ostii
The bishop seals the cell door with mortar, stone by stone, while the antiphon is sung. The anchorite watches from within as the last light narrows to nothing. The door is closed forever.

Oratio
I have set my seal upon this door. As Christ was sealed in the tomb and rose again, so may this soul, entombed in solitude, rise unto eternal life.
