⛏ MOLYBDOMANCY
Greek (molybdomanteia — Thessalian oracular practice)
A bird-like form with outstretched wings and no visible head
INTERPRETATION
Movement and freedom come at the cost of direction. The bird flies but cannot see where it goes. Travel, change, or liberation arrives, but you must supply your own navigation.
METHOD
Lead poured from a height into a deep well, fished out with a net. Bird forms pulled from depth were considered messages from chthonic powers — freedom granted by the underworld.
MEANING FOR THE COMING YEAR
Blind flight — the year launches you upward or outward, but without a map. Trust momentum over planning.
