Appearance
A plump, merry woman with ruddy cheeks and eyes that sparkle like firelight. She is dressed in scarlet and green and carries a tambourine made from a turtle shell strung with acorn caps.
Powers & Abilities
Commands all fairy music and dance. Can cause mortals to dance until they drop from exhaustion, or grant supernatural grace and rhythm. Her music heals melancholy and breaks enchantments of sorrow.
Method of Summoning
Call Doreen on a Friday evening near Midsummer. The summoner must provide music — singing, playing an instrument, even humming will suffice. She cannot be summoned in silence. Place mead and honey cakes within the circle. She arrives dancing.
Notable Characteristics
Jovial and generous but relentless. Her revels have no natural end, and the summoner must set firm time limits or risk being drawn into fairy dances that last for years. She takes offense at those who refuse to dance.
