Summer solstice sunrise
Five concentric stone rings connected by radial walls, containing over 42,000 tonnes of basalt. Known as Gilgal Refaim in Hebrew (Wheel of Giants). No burial goods or habitation debris have been found within.
ALIGNMENT
The northeast entrance gap aligns precisely with the summer solstice sunrise. The concentric rings create a monumental calendrical instrument visible only from above — its full form was not understood until aerial photography.
