VESSEL: MV Dorada (merchant freighter)
Crew of the merchant vessel Dorada observed a massive circular object rise from the sea surface approximately 1km to starboard. The object hovered briefly, spraying water radially, then ascended vertically at extreme speed. The sea beneath it appeared to boil for several minutes afterward.
SONAR LOG
Depth sounder registered anomalous returns suggesting a large metallic mass at 200m prior to surfacing event. Returns ceased at moment of emergence.
